Subscribe to the online edition of The Friend and not only do you receive it earlier than paper subscribers (typically on tuesday rather than the usual thursday postal delivery), but you also have complete access to the website bonuses, including the ability to take advantage of detailed searching of the archive and full access to discussions. And it's also cheaper! The price of a 12 month online-only subscription is £35, or if you are an existing subscriber of the paper edition you can also view the online edition for free.

The online edition exists in two formats - straight html which can be read directly from your web browser (or even your Symbian-OS mobile phone such as the Nokia 7650!), and as a .pdf which you can download and print out.

In order that you can see how good it is, we're offering up to four issues free. Simply enter your name and email address below and you will receive by email the current password, changed at the beginning of every month. Using this you will be able to log in and see what you've been missing!

By requesting a free sample you will also be automatically subscribed to the Friendly Email, a weekly roundup of some of the articles each week along with other interesting content such as 'this week in an old Friend' - you can unsubscribe from this at any time.
