Living in peace
Eye delights in unexpected expressions of our Quaker values, so was thrilled to hear from Celia Waterhouse, who
reached out to share what the Friends in her local Children’s Meeting created last month.
Celia writes: ‘Jesus Lane Cambridge Meeting at the moment has a lovely abundance of families with delightful young children. They had a session on being peaceful on “Peace Day” in June.
‘One young Friend made a home for dinosaurs where they can all live in peace and eat together, made out of Lego [see below]. It was brought in by the children at the end of Meeting for Worship to “show and tell”.’
What has your Children’s Meeting been up to lately, Friends? Are there any creations they’d like to share in the sunshine pages? Piccies and tales welcome via eye@thefriend.org.
