'I am still strong in my faith' says gay Kenyan Quaker
A Kenyan Quaker pastor excommunicated after coming out as gay has appealed for international support for gay Friends in east Africa. Noah Litu Kellum, thirty-one, says that he still believes that God is calling him to be a pastor.
His cause has received the backing of the Other Sheep network, an ecumenical Christian ministry that works for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people within their faith traditions.
Noah’s story is representative of what we see again and again in Africa, gay Christians devoutly holding to their faith while embracing their sexual orientation
