Meeting for Worship at the campsite | Jacqui Moore
We went to our first Quaker camp as a family this year, having met as a couple at what was probably the first Quaker campers event at Warwick Yearly Meeting in 1982. The location was Tywyn, home of the Talyllyn Railway, which is a spot we’ve enjoyed going to before. But what sort of people would be going? We signed up once we knew there were going to be other teenagers around Josh’s age, one of whom ‘facebooked’ him as soon as he was on the list – but who did we know? Would it be a clique?

As part of the group who went on a similar Q Camp from Hertford and Hitchin Area Meeting, this reflects my expereince closely. My 10 eyar old daughter and I had a great time. I don’t see myself as a person who likes tents, camping etc, but this eyar we came back in spite of teh fact that it rained almost all of the camp (our first ever) last year. The sense of community, simplicity and fun and is that strong!
