Friends protest against Birmingham arms fair

'We are here to draw attention to a venue and event selling itself as family friendly, instead selling weapons that rip families apart.'

Quakers led a silent vigil during two days of protest last week against the Specialist Defence and Security Convention (SDSC-UK). The arms fair at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) hosts weapons companies linked to major human rights abuses around the world.
